Why are we paying for failure in our public services- by Brian Binley MP

portrait-brianbinley-22.jpg“Immigration staff have received a total of £5 million in bonuses over the last five years despite the department being described by John Reid as ‘not fit for purpose’ last year.

The recently departed Chief Executive of Northamptonshire County Council was paid a massive cash handout of just under £300,000 this year despite heading up a under-performing council. The story is repeated throughout the country ‘ad nauseum.’

Staff who don’t perform should not be rewarded. It’s that simple.”

Well said Brian. Could I add that we should stop all these payouts to civil servants for non injuries, I mean 350,000 for repetitive strain whilst a solider who loses his legs gets half that.

The old phrase ‘they couldn’t organise a p**s up in a brewery’ springs to mind.

Why is it that over paid public officials can fail to do their jobs and yet instead of getting the boot they receive even more of our cash. Sack the lot of them I say.

Why are you bashing hard working Civil Servants, how much do MPs get paid including expenses – £200,000 a year, and then there are your party’s chums in the City who get pay outs millions of pound each year, even when they have lost money. Its a disgrace!!!!!!!

Who is this nutter English Liberal? I don’t have a problem with private companies paying out bonuses to their employees, because, well they are private.

What concerns me is the obscene amount of tax-payers money we spend on these useless state employees who have never worked in the real world and simply send our money on whatever pet projects they see fit.

Another thing that English Liberal might want to remember is that unlike the real world when those in the City get it wrong they get a pink slip in there pay packed, when Civil Servants get it wrong its the MPs, Ministers and PM who gets it in the neck.

These Civil Servants are accountable to no one and then at the end of their careers they take huge pensions, also paid for by us.

Come the revolution I know who I will be gunning for first and strangely it not the politicians – they come second.

Thank god for Cornerstone Group – at last we have a group of MPs who seem to be talking for the vast majority of the British public.

Can’t wait till you get into power, then perhaps you can start sacking these failures and use the money to start giving us some tax cuts and funding state pensions properly.
