Why do we tolerate the intolerable – By Brian Binley MP

portrait-brianbinley-21.jpgSo a teacher asks her class to name a teddy bear. Seems OK to me. So Mohammed is a very popular name amongst Muslim communities’ world wide. Very understandable. So the children choose to name the teddy bear Mohammed. Not surprising. Yet the teacher went through the horror of a trial and received a jail sentence.  I recognise that she is out now and I am delighted.

Isn’t it odd that newcomers to Britain expect us to be immensely tolerant and rightly so. Yet many defend the most intolerable customs in other countries. Am I wrong in finding that intolerable too?
