Education, Education, Education – by Brian Binley MP

portrait-brianbinley-22.jpgDo you remember the phrase ‘Education, Education, Education?’ Of course you do.  It tripped from Tony Blair’s tongue like honey off a spoon.  But he went further.  He said he would introduce literacy and numeracy hours in every school which would massively raise standards.

Sadly, the recently published OECD Education report showed that the UK had slipped down the international league tables for reading and maths from 7th and 8th respectively in 2000 to 17th and 24th in 2006.

Just another example of a failed Labour promise you might think!

But sadly we are talking about our children’s education and that’s simply not good enough!
